Corinth Autumn 2014

The next Common Session of the Common Study Programme in Critical Criminology will take place in Corinth at University of Peloponnese from 29th to 31th October. We warmly invite all of our students and staff colleagues at partner institutions to attend.

Theme: “What is crime? Who is the criminal?”

 
Please find attached the final program, as well as the menu for the farewell dinner. Bear in mind that the latter will take place at the traditional Restaurant/Tavern “Mpitzios” where we will enjoy live music and it will cost 20 euros per person. Furthermore, vegetarian requests must be mentioned at the registration procedure. 
 
For those wishing to participate at the guided tour in ancient Corinth and the Museum the cost will be 5 euros per person and must be paid at the registration.
 
Note that for those who are coming on Tuesday 28, evening meeting venue is “Half Note” cafe from 21:00 onwards.

We have contacted with the hotels managers and agreed a special discount for the participants of the Common Session. GETTING THERE

From Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” to the City of Corinth

By Suburban Rail
The airport is connected to the city of Corinth via the Suburban Rail. The ride takes an hour and a quarter. Each line operates every 1 hour. You have to take the train from the airport to Kiato station. Corinth is the suburban’s penultimate stop. From the Airport to Kiato line, the first train departs at 05:44 and the last at 21:44. The ticket costs 12€. When you aribve at Corinth’s Suburban Rail station, you will have to take a taxi in order to move to Corinth’s city center. The cost is approximately 5€.

By bus (alternative option)

You can take the bus route X93 which has a direct connection to the intercity bus (KTEL) terminal KIFISOS. The bus station is located between between Exit 4 and 5 at the arrivals level.

Ticket price: There are only one-way tickets and cost 5.00 €

When you arrive at the intercity bus station KIFISOS, you’ll have to take an intercity bus to Corinth. The journey from the intercity bus station to Corinth takes 1 hour. The bus runs approximately one time per hour, from 06:10 a.m to 22:10 p.m
